Loc. lat. que significa ‘en proceso de formación, haciéndose’: «El narrador [...] transforma su experiencia en literatura por medio de un discurso “in fíeri” que se va haciendo con ayuda de las observaciones de un amigo» (Abc [Esp.] 23.2.96). Aunque en español el segundo elemento de esta locución tiende a pronunciarse llano ([in fiéri]), debe recordarse que la pronunciación latina correcta es esdrújula ([in fíeri]), de ahí que deba escribirse con tilde ( tilde2, 1.1.3).
